Rural Setting Provides Perfect New Start at Lawson’s Court

29th May 2009

A delightful family development in High Coniscliffe has provided the ideal location to begin married life for Robert and Elizabeth Leeman and their family.

Lawson’s Court is a stunning development of twelve three- and four-bedroom homes located just four miles west of Darlington. The design of the homes pays respect to the natural heritage of the area, yet provides properties to fit a modern lifestyle. Both Robert and Elizabeth had lived in Darlington throughout their lives, but after their marriage last year they decided to make the short move to Lawson’s Court just before Christmas with children Rachel, Emily, Kathleen, Peter and Lucy Mary. Robert, who works for the Prison Service, explains, “We decided to move for two reasons; the first was that a new home would allow us to make a new start as a newly wedded couple whilst the second was simply because we were bursting at the seams in our previous house, so needed more room.

“Our four-bedroom home here at Lawson’s Court offers us plenty of space whilst the internal specification is excellent. The surrounding countryside is also beautiful and the views are just spectacular. The development is also on a main route to both work and school, making it convenient for the whole family.”

Their move to a new build development marked a change for the couple, as Robert continues. “We both like older style properties and hadn’t originally planned to buy a new build home,” he said. “However we decided to take advantage of the current climate and once we had seen the size of this property from the inside, we were convinced this was the right move. Everything came together at the right time for us and we’re delighted – it’s a home we will all enjoy.”

He added, “We have been very impressed with Kebbell Homes throughout the purchasing process. Both Elizabeth and I were particular delighted with the sales negotiator Ann, who we found very approachable and more than happy to help out with any problems.”

During their short time at the development the Leeman family has made good use of the cycling and walking opportunities on offer alongside the nearby River Tees. The peaceful hamlet of High Coniscliffe whilst quaint, does not lack anything in character thanks to the 12th century Norman parish church of St. Edwin and English Heritage listed buildings along the high street.

The village also has two pubs and a primary school which has achieved an outstanding reputation in all categories of education. Shopping and leisure facilities are only a few minutes drive away in the centre of nearby Darlington.

Linda Tillisch, Northern Sales Manager for Kebbell Homes, commented, “We are delighted that Lawson’s Court has proved to be the perfect location for Robert, Elizabeth and their family to purchase their ideal new home and therefore live in a beautiful country location. “The area is just glorious and there is a hugely popular Primary School here which is appealing to those with a young family. It is difficult to imagine a better way of life with designs to suit the active family, plenty of storage, highly specified kitchens and bathrooms, and all in this superb location. “Just three four-bedroom properties remain, representing a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an exceptional home in a location of outstanding beauty, whilst urban convenience is just a matter of minutes away.”
