KEBBELL SPONSORS SOUTHFIELD SCHOOL’S SUNFLOWER FETE

Monday 4th July 2011

Kebbell Homes has once again sponsored the annual Sunflower Fete and Fancy Dress Procession at Southfield Primary School in Chiswick.

For the fourth consecutive year Watford-based Kebbell, which has its Studio Place development nearby on Church Path and Beaumont Road, donated £300 to the event which took place recently at Turnham Green. Opening the fete were television presenters Chris Johnson and Miss Dionne ‘London’ Hughes who present Weekend Mornings on the CBBC Channel.

The theme of this year’s event was “Favourite Book Characters” and many of the pupils turned up in fun and colourful fancy dress outfits including Batman, Harry Potter and Mr Bump. In total around £10,000 was raised, with all the money going towards both school workshops and equipment for a variety of subjects including music, dance, drama, science and maths.

Mr Simon Prebble, head teacher at Southfield Primary School says, “The
Sunflower Fete is a much anticipated date on the school calendar. It’s a day
when the whole school as well as the wider community can join together to help raise money for various school projects. First and foremost it is a lot of fun, it’s a great family day out and there is something for everyone. We’d like to thank Kebbell Homes for its kind sponsorship.”

Andrea Fawell, Sales and Marketing Manager for Kebbell Homes said, “We are delighted to have sponsored Southfield Primary School’s fancy dress parade once again this year. Since 2008 we have supported the school’s summer fete and have always been impressed with the colourful outfits the children manage to put together for the event.

“We have been building luxury new homes in the Chiswick area for a number of years now and this year’s fete coincides with the launch of our latest scheme, Studio Place, which is located on Church Path and Beaumont Road and features 11 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.”
