Chilgrove forms part of the existing Herne Farm community, developed by Kebbell Homes over many years and today forms an attractive and mature environment. One of the special attractions of living at Chilgrove, Herne Farm, is a Sports and Leisure Centre available to all residents. The facilities include a heated swimming pool, two squash courts, and a hall for special events: dances, film shows, children’s play groups, jumble sales, coffee mornings and many other activities.

The nearby Taro Leisure in Penn’s Place, within walking distance of Chilgrove, offers a comprehensive range of sports, fitness and leisure facilities.

Close to Chilgrove is the heath and its lake, a wonderful spot for picnics, boating and fishing. Additionally, tennis courts, an eighteen-hole golf course and facilities for cricket, rugby, soccer, swimming and riding are readily available. Of course, there are endless country walks in the scenic South Downs countryside.

There are many excellent restaurants and pubs in Petersfield and in the surrounding villages.

Chilgrove is a few minutes drive from the A3, providing fast access by road to London or the south coast. Petersfield is on the main line from Waterloo (55 minutes), Havant (22 minutes) and Portsmouth (36 minutes).

Trains are frequent with up to three per hour in peak times.
